Introduction
Johannesburg Toastmasters Meeting started at 7pm on Wednesday, 1 September 2021.
Start of Meeting
Guest for the evening was Adelaide.
Word of the evening ‘Alma Mater’.
Duren Reddy was the Toastmaster of the day. He guided us through a successful and jam packed Toastmasters meeting.
Prepared Speeches
We had three successful prepared speeches:
- PL3P1 – (Communication styles) by Johara titles “I am calm. I am steady” , evaluated by Saloshni
- PL1P2 – (1st evaluation speech) by Mthokozisi titled “The Power of a Positive Mindset” and evaluated by Judith.
- PL5P1 – (Long speech) by Christoff titled “Senqu” and evaluated by Des.
Table Topics/Educational
The table topics were chaired by Duren where everyone got to know each other a bit better.
Grizzly Award
Although everyone contributed to the meeting, the grizzly bear was awarded to Christoff for keeping the audience completely captivated over the entire duration of his long speech. Congratulations!
