The first meeting of 2015 was quite relaxed as we only had two prepared speeches.
The toast of the day was a dedicated to a fresh start and was proposed by Dick Hallett and the word of the evening was “Equilibrium” proposed by Clayton Redford.
We had the following guests at this meeting who where: Kirsten Lee Legg, Bukiwe Tsoeu, Tumi Matubatuba, Lebo Matubatuba, Simon Frank
The following members where present:Des Smith, Di Sharp, Christian Nyakanyanga, Luther Feros, Dick Hallett, Sipho Mda, Gugu Bhebhe, Zandile Manana, Clayton Redford and Luis de Sousa.
We had two successful prepared speeches:
- CC6 By Christian Nyankanyanga Entitled “Effective Sales Person” evaluated by Des Smith
- CC7 By Sipho Mda Entitled “Human Evolution” evaluated by Dick Hallett
This meetings table topics where chaired by Gugu Bhebhe and where tasking members to talk on book title and try to sell it.
The Grammarian deemed all the speeches where acceptable due to the toastmaster rules.
At the end of evening the grizzly bear was awarded to Sipho Mda for presenting an excellent speech and being the General Evaluator
