This weeks meeting was quite interesting as we where in the wake of the earthquake tremor which had “shook” South Africa recently.
The toast of the day was given by Dick Hallet and our guest Division Governor Andy Van Dyk gave the toast to Toastmasters International.
As always we had the privilege of having a few guests this meeting who where: Andy van Wyk (Division Governor), Vusi and Stephen.
The following members where present: Des Smith, Di Sharp, Dick Hallett, Luther Feros, Tinahe Ncube, Christian Nyakanyanga, Sipho Mda, Khanyiswa Nogomba, Gugu Bhebhe, Mpilo Khoza, and Michelle Laranjeiro.
We had four successful prepared speeches:
- CC2 – by Gugu Bhebhe titled ” The Power of Social Media” which was evaluated by Dick Hallet.
- CC2 – by Michelle Laranjeiro titled “Who Are You?” which was evaluated by Luther Feros.
- CC3 – by Sipho Mda titled “The Storm is Not Over” which was evaluated by Di Sharp.
- ACB – by Tinahe Ncube titled “The Path of the Hero” which was evaluated by Andy van Dyk.
Later on in the evening Khanyi Nogomba chaired the table topics session by using question cards.

At the end of the meeting the grizzly bear was awarded to Michelle Laranjeiro for presenting an excellent speech.
